Eligibility

At Hobart Eye Surgeons, we will continually assess your case with your specific circumstances and the severity of your eye condition in mind. Additionally, we offer complimentary assessments to ascertain the best treatment plan for you.

Generally speaking, most refractive errors and cataracts can be fixed with laser vision correction.

To be eligible for these procedures, you must:

• be over 18 years old
• have had stable vision for at least 12 months
• not be pregnant
• not have diseases of the cornea and retina
• be generally in good health.

Your lifestyle (including sports and hobbies), glasses and contact lens history and overall eye health are also other factors that can influence your eligibility for laser vision correction.

If we deem you ineligible, we will put forward other treatments that may be more suitable.
